Society of Bourbon Connoisseurs (SOBC) 20 year 1974 Batch #74-241 51.8%

One of the Crown Jewels of the Julian Van winkle Era Wax tops from the golden era of fine Bourbon. Most signs point to this being bottled with stock from the Old Boone Distillery which he used for several other wax topped bottles from the era. Likely a single barrel or a very small batch consisting of just a few barrels. Initial quantities produced are unknown but likely very low. Amongst the most serious bourbon collectors the SOBCs have long ranked at the very top - these museum pieces represent the absolute height of quality in the history of Bourbon and the end of a long era.
