Opened in 1935 and closed in 1992 The Stitzel Weller Distillery in synonymous with quality and exclusivity... Founded by a certain Pappy Van Winkle himself who was know for an almost "obsessive" commitment to quality. The Van Winkle family would go to bottle legendary bourbon of the finest quality for 6 decades before finally closing in 1992.
