One of the Crown Jewels of the Julian Van winkle Era Wax tops from the golden era of fine Bourbon. Most signs point to this being bottled with stocks from Stitzel Weller with most of the Old Boone stocks being bottled by the end of 1999. Likely a single barrel or a very small batch consisting of just a few barrels. Initial quantities produced are unknown but likely very low. Amongst the most serious bourbon collectors the SOBCs have long ranked at the very top - these museum pieces represent the absolute height of quality in the history of Bourbon and the end of a long era. Shortly after Julian bottled these the distillery, cask inventory and brands were sold marking the end of a near 100 year history of the Van Winkle family.
