Here is the infamous SOBC 20 distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2001 shortly before the Van Winkle Family closed their Lawrenceburg Bottling Facility and contracted production rights to Sazerac, making this one of the very Last barrels of Stitzel Weller the Van Winkle's would bottle themselves... All together there 8 Different batches of SOBC with 6 coming from the Van Winkles and 2 coming from the Willett Distillery... Only recently has the brand reached major auction houses in small numbers, prior to that they exclusively traded amongst a small group of elite collectors. We estimate remaining quantities to be less than 2 or 3 dozen of all SOBC batches combined.
